Unity Outreach reflects programs where we can be the change we wish to see in the world
. Unity Spiritual Life Center is a tithing church, so 10% of what we receive monthly goes out to do God's work in the world. On this page are services and organizations where your generous gifts to the church have been shared as well as further opportunities to give of your time, talent, and treasure. A candle loses nothing by sharing of itself, but through it's efforts it can bring Light to the world.

The 2nd Sunday of each month is Abundance Sunday. Bring your non-perisable food-items to USLC before service so that we can help replenish their food stores. Christmas time, as you might imagine, is the height of the giving season for charities and local food banks, but sometimes supplies run low following the holidays. Your donation helps South County Outreach provide services all year round to people in need.
Our February Tithe for $478.22 was to South County Outreach. Here is some information from their website regarding their needs to continue providing service:
SCO's food pantry is operated completely by volunteers who conduct food drives, stock the shelves, and distribute food to clients; therefore, the cost for this program is extremely low. However, SCO purchases food items like fresh produce, dairy products, and some staples when our inventory is low. Any cash donations to this program are utilized 100% to purchase food. Please help us maintain a full inventory of nutritional foods by contributing cash or goods to our food pantry.
Our January Title went to CSP Youth Shelter in the amount of $1080.63.
A little bit about CSP's Youth Shelter from their website:
The 6-bed shelters located in Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach provide immediate services to troubled youths and their families who are in crisis due to domestic violence, substance abuse, child abuse, serious communication problems and family conflict. The goals of the program are family preservation and diversion of at-risk youths from the juvenile justice system. On a daily basis, distraught or endangered teens or their parents call the Shelter for help, or are referred by schools, police, social services, churches, service groups and good neighbors.
